When using the Expert Search and looking for results based on specific MARC tags, the results always return with sorting applied based on relevancy. Attempting to select or apply a different sort method (such as by title) does nothing to the results. Adding the sort value as a manual variable to the URL did not appear to work correctly either.

I just tried it in 2.2 and can confirm that MARC expert searches are only sorting by relevancy.

I realized that I do not have a stock 2.4 system running right now, and I am not sure if I will have time on Saturday to set that up. So, I have created a commit based on the stuff I have tested on the Sitka servers.

It needs to be tested on a 2.4 system. This commit also fixes https://bugs.launchpad.net/evergreen/+bug/1084269

But, again, I have not tested that on a stock 2.4 system either.

I will merge these changes into master as well once I have time.

I have found an error with my commit. Once an Expert search is performed, the other search features will not longer work because the Expert search terms are now included in the form. These terms force the search to use Expert search. I have a fix, and I am testing it.

I will install a stock 2.4 system and test this throughly this weekend.

I'm not able to reproduce this on a 2.9 or master system. It's possible the fixes for bug 1084269 fixed this bug as well.
