Bug Description

This branch contains a minor improvement to the README file, which tells squeeze and other Debian-like system users to make sure a few build prereqs are installed before ./configure is run:

Can't merge this one as README was moved. I'll take a look at the patches later and see if they're worth merging.

Hmm, reviewed the two patches attached here and we may be past the point of inclusion with the numerous changes to README in the intervening years. For now, marking this LP as "won't fix"
