Bug Description

When I try to open .pot or .po files in gtranslator from the Docteam repository, it crashes. If I run it from a terminal, I get millions of repititions of this error:

(gtranslator:6451): GLib-WARNING **: GError set over the top of a previous GError or uninitialized memory.
This indicates a bug in someone's code. You must ensure an error is NULL before it's set.
The overwriting error message was: Conversion from character set 'application/x-xml2pot; charset=UTF-8' to 'utf-8' is not supported

(gtranslator:6451): gtranslator-WARNING **: /home/matt/ubuntu-docs/aboutubuntu/about-ubuntu-fr.po:280: could not convert line from 'application/x-xml2pot; charset=UTF-8' to UTF-8: [NULL ERRV]

Hope this is enough information for you to help.

Thanks Matthew, does this bug still occur - could you provide us with a link to such a file?

Yeah I'm still getting this. An example of an example file is:

It's been more than 6 months now since this bug has been updated, so is this still an issue? If not, maybe we could close this bug?

Yes, let's reject this bug. I haven't got the file that caused it any more anyway. I've closed the upstream bug.
