Bug Description

Evergreen 3.11.1

Rather than replace the dojo New Brief Record interface that is accessed through Acquisitions -> New Brief Record what if we just removed it?

Is there a workflow where it's critical to start with the brief record rather than from within the selection list? (You can't add your brief record to a PO through this interface)

You can create new brief records from within both the new angular selection lists and purchase orders.

Thoughts?

It is part of Acq A, along with a bugfix to allow templates there, and Acq A is >thisclose< to partner testing.

Not that that precludes its removal, of course.

I'd be in favor of removing it. None of our libraries use selection lists in the first place, and IMO I think it's reasonable to start in your list first and *then* create an item to go in it.

Just adding my +1 to removing this from the main menu and pushing access to the feature from POs and Selection Lists

Andrea mentioned earlier that this is part of the Angularization of Acq, and included in that is the ability to add a brief record directly to a PO (one of the points made in the initial report).

It's simple to remove, of course -- it's just a menu entry -- but I did want to mention that at least the brief-to-PO part will exist in the new code.
