Carousel bucket column not loading with 350+ carousels

EG 3.10:

We're seeing a problem on our production site where we have 350+ carousels that we're not able to replicate with the same code on a Concerto data set.

On production, if we make the Bucket column visible, it won't load the full grid and the browser console shows a whole lot of "ERROR TypeError: _.bucket().id is not a function" errors.

With the same code on a Concerto data set with only a handful of carousels, making the Bucket column visible loads the grid correctly and does not show any errors in the browser console.

The problem appears to lie within the code added in https://bugs.launchpad.net/evergreen/+bug/1901893 - is it written in a way that is causing it to try to retrieve too much info about the buckets? Is there a better way to do that?

I'd love to know if anyone else uses a lot of carousels and is encountering this.

(Note - hiding the Bucket column allows the grid to load fully, so that's what I'm doing for now.)
