Course Materials: Attributes Don't Revert When Item Removed from a Course

Evergreen 3.9
In the Associate Item tab on the Course Materials tab within a course if you select an item and from the actions menu choose Remove Selected, the item is removed from course but the call number, circulation modifier, and shelving location are not reverted to their original values.
If you archive the course instead the values are reverted as expected.
Removing an item from a course should also revert the values so staff don't have to manually edit the item if it need to be removed from course list.
