In the public catalogue when searching or browsing for courses it would be helpful if the default search was for Course Number rather than Course Name as our libraries find that students are more likely to be looking by number.
If having Course Name as the default is important for other libraries I'd suggest we have a setting to allow libraries to set the default search.

Libraries in our consortium have differing opinions as to what this default should be. One recommendation was that the course search should work more like the Advanced Search screen does, with each search box defaulting to one of the available search options: Course Name, Course Number, Instructor. Please see attached screenshot.
