item status configuration updates do not save

We are unable to save item configuration status updates.

A new item status is selected "OPAC Visible" and saved, an "Updated Successfully" message is displayed but the status does not update in Item Status Configuration screen and update is not reflected in item's record.

If you've had this experience or have a solution please reach out.

This may be due to permissions. I'm currently working on a permissions project and have seen multiple instances of when an update perm is not assigned, the "Updated Successfully" message still pops up but the change does not actually carry through. Have not tested this yet, but this specific issue may be tied to the UPDATE_COPY_STATUS permission.

Confirmed this was due to permissions and the issue described in https://bugs.launchpad.net/evergreen/+bug/1808016. I think the bug fix took care of this issue as well - if I did not have the permission, I received a fail message when attempting to update an item status - so this can be marked 'Won't Fix.'
