Editing record source fails

Bug Description
In 3.8
Attempts to edit the record source in the MARC edit fails.
Workflw:
Choose a value from the dropdown menu.
Click Save Changes
Message flashes that record was successfully saved
Retrieve record again. No value set for record source (dropdown box has "Select a source" rather than a value)

I checked the database. It looks like the value is saved, the saved value is just not displayed by the select list.
