Split Subfields in Marc Edit

In the traditional (AngJS) Marc Edit when you hit Ctrl + D and you were in the middle of the Marc Field it would split the Field at that point.

Example: Split at the carrot.

650 _0 $a High schools Juvenile Fiction.
                      ^
650 _0 $a High school $_ Juvenile Fiction.

In the current (Angular) Marc Edit, you hit Ctrl + D it add a subfield at the end of the subfield

650 _0 $a High schools Juvenile Fiction.
                      ^
650 _0 $a High school Juvenile Fiction. $_ _____

I don't know if this a a retrovert to the way XUL did it, or a loss of functionality from the traditional AngJS Marc Edit.

I know you can easily insert the new sub fields in the Flat text editor.
