Bootstrap OPAC: Messages lose line breaks

In Bootstrap OPAC 3.6.1:

Messages added to a patron account either by an action trigger or by adding a patron-visible Note lose their line breaks so everything runs together (see attached screenshot).

Adding <pre></pre> tags around the message content seems to work fine, so I'd be happy to submit that fix, but I'm not sure if there is a different way to do it that would be preferred.
