When adding materials to a course using the “Associate item” option (e.g. adding a physical item from the catalog), staff input/scan the item barcode and, optionally, enter the item’s relationship to the course. Staff also have the option to edit the item’s call number, circ modifier, Item status and shelving location. Since these items are in the library’s collection, it is likely that at least some of these fields also will need to be edited. However, these fields display further down on the page and *after* the “Add Material” button. Once that button is clicked, those four additional fields can no longer be edited. So, if staff inadvertently click the button, the only way to edit the item is to remove it from the course and start over. It would be helpful either to move the “Add Materials” button to the bottom of this page.
