Wishlist: Student Card Integration

PINES libraries have initiated a program (known as "PLAY" within PINES) with the goal of strengthening partnerships between libraries and area schools. The idea is that students are automatically registered for a PINES card (opted in by default with the option on the school end to opt out). Schools create student data exports and make them available via (S)FTP or another secure means of transfer, then our process processes the exports and creates, updates, or deletes student card accounts as appropriate. Our process currently runs as an outside service, connecting to the database using Perl DBI and using its own (S)FTP connection logic, but when researching Acq's method of fetching vendor files and learning more about creating Evergreen accounts via the Quipu eCard project (see bug 1902937), I think it would be desirable to integrate this feature into Evergreen.

The script I've worked out for patron loading on https://bugs.launchpad.net/evergreen/+bug/1786524 will handle this scenario.

Mobius also has a script for this that they may be willing to share that allows you to just drop a csv file into a folder on the server.
