Experimental search isn't using the search formats

Testing Web client 3.4. using Chrome.

When I go to the Staff Catalog (Experimental), the only time I get results is when I use the All Formats search. If I select something more specific such as All Books, no results are retrieved, even though the All Formats search had brought back a list of books. I haven't found a setting that tells the experimental search to use the format-based searches. Is there a step we need to take to turn that capability on, or is this feature not fleshed out yet?

Mary, I'm seeing the same with the concerto data. You should not have to change any settings.
