Folder not shown when editing reports

Bug Description

This happens on both 3.3 and 3.5.

When editing a report through either Reports or Output folder, the folder lists for both Report and Output may not be displayed on the editing screen.

This does not happen with creating new reports from a template. The folder lists are displayed properly.

The interesting part is after you get the folder lists displayed by attempting to create a new report, the folders will be displayed next time when you try to edit a report.

Hi Tina,

I'm not seeing this happen on our 3.4.2 production server. Do you have a screenshot? Does it seem to be certain types of reports, old XUL ones, newer ones...?

Here is a screenshot.

I tried with various kinds of reports and did not figure out a pattern.

It usually happens in a session, in which you have never loaded any page with the folder lists. Once the folder lists are displayed, e.g. after you attempted to create a report, the lists are shown subsequently.

Noting that I've been doing some reports to facilitate testing in recent master, and I've not encountered this.

Tested on 3.10 and a 3.11+ community server and could not reproduce this issue.

Looking at this again I'm wondering if this is an opt in issue? Can anyone from BC Coop confirm?

Chiming in to say I have not been able to replicate this issue either. The only time I've seen folder visibility weirdness was when there were folder sharing issues, like shared folders within hidden folders.
