Bug Description

OpenSRF is currently supported only for Debian and Ubuntu, which excludes sites running RedHat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) or Rocky (a free distro derived from RHEL) from even testing. I am working up a branch to provide support for installing OpenSRF on both RHEL and Rocky 8.

Not adding pullrequest yet since I want to also add RHEL/CentOS support to Evergreen.

I can confirm that RHEL 8 works on the same OpenSRF branch.

To update, I did some work on trying to get RHEL 9 OpenSRF support on top of the recent Redis branch, and we've hit an issue where libmemcached is not packaged anywhere and the source package will not install without patching. I think we'll need to wait until memcached can be replaced with Redis/Valkey before moving forward on RHEL. I will investigate Rocky 9 next.
