Bug Description

Evergreen 3.3

It would be useful if the Acquisitions Patron Requests searched the catalogue and indicated if the library already had a copy or had a copy on order. This could be similar to the number on a purchase order which indicates how many copies are already owned or on-order.

For the patron requests if there were matches it would be useful to be able to transfer the hold from the patron request to the existing copy or merge the patron request with the on order line item.

Confirmed that this is still not a feature in the 3.3 Bug Squashing Week sandbox. Would love to see this added.

This was discussed in the acq interest group meeting and the lack of a way to merge patron requests with existing line items is a reason several libraries/consortia are not using patron requests.
