Bug Description
Adding this as a discussion topic / possible wish list:
We've had a request from a library to show group bills to the lead patron in a group when logging in to My Account through the OPAC. (The staff client shows group bills whenever displaying any member of a group.) The intention behind this request is to show a parent (or guardian) that their kids have bills on their accounts without having to log in to each account.
Points that could use discussion include:
1. What information could/should be shown without violating privacy issues?
2. Do libraries use groups for anything aside from families?
3. Groups don't require a lead account. Should the bills show up to all group members? Or only show up to accounts that are marked as a lead account?
4. Along with just a total dollar amount, should it show the name of the group member that has those bills so that the person responsible for paying them knows which account to pay on?
5. Would any of this be worthwhile if the parent can't pay all the accounts from a single location anyway?
I agree with the general sentiment of the request to make it easier for parents to keep track of bills, but I'm hesitant about confidentiality so would like additional input.

The SCLENDS circulation workgroup echoed this concern this week. We, too, are interested in discussion of the feasibility of such a feature.
