Bug Description

Masterish as of this filing

https://<hostname>/eg2/<locale>/staff/login does not show a user-visible message (or any other user visible cue) in the event of a login failure. There is the expected message in console.

Tested in Firefox & Chrome, Win10

Works for me. I've verified that the color contrast of the failed login warning is sufficient. Signoff pushed to user/gmcharlt/lp1834969_signoff.
