Bug Description
I'm creating a new bug based on my comment from bug #1738688.
Here was my concern at the time:
We sometimes have items with multiple active transits, (see bug #1505772). These active transits are not always the most recent, and the new interface of the web client makes it impossible to tell if there are any old "stuck" transits that need to be cancelled.
The XUL client would only show transits that were active. Perhaps the web client could show...
- Most recent active transit, (NULL receive time, NULL cancel time), if one exists.
- If no active transits exist, it could show the most recent transit.
Thinking about this some more, I think we could expand/tweak this a little. Instead of adjusting the Most Recent Transit when there is an older active transit, I wonder if having a "Transit History List" tab would be more beneficial for troubleshooting. This could behave similarly to the "Circ History List" tab.
The tab would contain a list of previous transits, with the most recent at the top. For each one, the following information would be displayed:
Transit Source
Transit Destination
Transit Send Time
Transit Receive Time
Transit Cancel Time
This way seeing the past transits could help with troubleshooting and make it easy to tell if there's an older active transit, (blank receive/cancel times).
I've attached a mockup to show what this may look like.
This is just one suggestion. I'm open to hearing what others think.

If the list is implemented, perhaps the number of transits displayed could be determined by a library setting similar to [GUI] "Maximum previous checkouts displayed", which controls the Circ History List tab.
