web client: Unable to delete Existing Prediction Patterns

Tested in Evergreen 3.0.5

When trying to delete serial Existing Prediction Patterns the delete button is grayed out and not able to select the button. Using the same staff member credentials in the staff client allows me to select the delete button.

I was having this issue and brought to the attention of Equinox thinking there was a new permission I needed to access certain serial actions in the web client. Confirmed in 3.0.5.

I'll start a new bug for this if I can't find it elsewhere, but I found another serials-related permission that is not transferring to the web client. I cannot edit volume/item info for an issuance in the web client, but I can in xul. Most of the fields for the item (owning library, volume, classification, prefix, call number, suffix, copies, and part) are all grayed out. The only fields I can edit are Barcode and Copy #.

In the web client, prediction patterns can only be deleted if all the issues attached are in the "expected" state. Once an issue is received, the delete button becomes greyed out. I personally see it as a welcomed change. In the XUL client, deleting the prediction pattern also deleted attached issues/items. Removing the ability to delete the prediction pattern gives me less chance of accidently deleting my issues.

If you want to delete the prediction and issues, you can choose the Action "Reset Items" on the Manage Issues screen, which moves the issues back into Expected state and will allow you to then delete the prediction.

I am able to delete a prediction pattern from Serials Administration even if items generated from that pattern have been received. This is contrary to what John noted above. I've only recently been working with serials in the Web client, so I am not sure if this behavior has changed.

I see this in both EG 3-1-8 and 3-2-4.

Please ignore my previous comment. I see I have confused prediction patterns with prediction pattern templates. A prediction pattern template can be deleted in the above scenario, but a prediction pattern itself cannot. Sorry for that mix-up.
