Wishlist: easier workflow for canceling the hold when a held item is picked up by a friend or family member

Steps to Reproduce:
 1. Item is held for Patron A
 2. Patron A sends Patron B to the library to pick it up
 3. Circulation staff check the item out to Patron B

Current Result:
The hold remains and will be filled again, unless circulation staff remember to look up Patron A, find the relevant hold, and cancel it.

Desired Result:
There really should be a more streamlined workflow for the circulation staff to cancel the now-obsolete hold. I imagine something on the checkout page, along the lines of "This item was held for Patron A. Click here if you wish to cancel that hold now."
