Self Check (web based) - Block Renewal If Item Was Just Checked Out

It would be useful to be able to block items that have just been checked out on the Evergreen self check from being renewed immediately. Some of our libraries are finding that patrons are accidentally scanning items twice which results in one of the renewals being used.

In both the desktop and web client if an item is checked out that is already out to the patron a popup appears to alert staff that the item is already out to the patron and asks if they like to renew the item. Would something similar to this be desirable in the self check or would libraries prefer that the check outs through the self check only renew if they happen at least X minutes after the initial check out?

This is still an issue for us on 3.10.3. Would love to see a fix.
