web client patron search - no user feedback on empty form

Bug Description
Tested on 2.12.8 and 3.0.2
In the XUL client in patron search if you clear the form and click search or click search without filling in any information, a pop-up error message appears: ! Please enter some search terms.
In the web client if you click search with a blank search form, nothing happens.
This is a really minor bug, and I'm not sure how often it happens, but it's always good to provide feedback to the user.
