Bug Description

Bug 1197050 introduced functionality to trim leading and trailing spaces from barcodes on the checkout screen in the xul client. This functionality is missing in the web client. The lack of this functionality could result in more precataloged items being created and checked out to patrons.

I'm not able to duplicate this. On two different 2.12 systems I tested with leading spaces, trailing spaces, and both in Checkin, Checkout, Item Status, and Renew. In all cases the web client correctly parsed the barcode as if the leading/trailing spaces didn't exist.

On another day, at another time, I could not reproduce this either. Marking invalid, but adding a link to somewhat related bug 1692986.
