Bug Description

In the web client workstation registration interface, there is an option to select a different workstation registered on the computer and to click a "Use Now" button.

However, when you change the selected workstation and click the "Use Now" button, the workstation displayed in the upper right corner continues to be the one that was used at login.

Also, if you log in without a registered workstation, go to the workstation registration interface, create the new workstation, and click "Use Now", the web client continues to show signs that the user is not using a registered workstation. For example, when using the catalog, the "my account" bar that usually is removed in staff mode continues to display.

The user needs to log out fully and select a workstation to be able to use it.

I don't think that the current auth API supports a change in workstation mid-session.

We also don't support creation of a new session without the user providing a valid password.

Barring work to create the ability to transition more easily between workstations (is that desired?):

Would fixing the "Use Now" button be implemented as a logout, redirect to login prompt with the desired workstation selected, and the user enters their password to complete the process?

This should ultimately be addressed with the implementation of bug #1467663, which will change how users register workstations.
