Back date checkin web based staff client reports conflicting date

Bug Description

EG 2.8.2

Using the web based staff client to checkin materials from the book drop:


It seems that the date chosen and the date that actually gets assigned to the checkin are 1 day apart.

Choose 8/26/2015
The date that the client uses is 8/25/2015 11:59

I think it needs to be equal to the UI.

I think it depends on the time you perform the check in. When you posted your comment, I tested backdating and found no problems. I also didn't have trouble with the other date-related bugs that were reported in bug 1437109. However, when I tested it again later (about 8 p.m.) on webby and on a local test VM, the date the checkin date stored in the database (and displaying in the UI) is a day off from the selected backdate date. I agree with Bill that this is the same as bug 1437109. I'm going to mark this one as a duplicate.
