Bug Description

Evergreen version: tested on 2.7

This issue appears to be very similar to the "Display Issues with some Acquisitions Admin Interfaces" bug, but is a bit different.

When our users access acq search through the "Open Invoices" menu option, but remove the 2nd search field where you set the receiver to your branch, in most cases, they will arrive at a blank screen for their search results. However, if the user performing the search has permission to view the first invoice in the result set, they will retrieve that one result, but no others.

Based on our experience with the acq admin interfaces identified in the aforementioned bug, I believe this problem occurs because the interface is still making space for those other search results that the user doesn't have permission to view. However, unlike the other bug, I can't seem to eventually get to the correct search results by paging through the interfaces.

I created a screencast and posted it at https://youtu.be/J4VLVz2UB08

In the first try, I'm the admin user and can retrieve all invoices using a search for open invoices. The first invoice that is retrieved has the receiver set to MSM. I then log into an account with permissions to view MSM's invoices. When I retrieve the invoices with this account, we see that first invoice. However, the first time I conduct the search, the screen cuts off, and I need to refresh the grid to be able to see the invoice properly.

In the last example, I log in with the account that has permission to see the 2nd invoice that was retrieved when I conducted the search as the admin user. The page appears blank, even after refreshing. If I page through the screens, I never get to any visible results. I eventually get to a screen that says there are no more results.

Although the workaround in this particular case is to always limit any searches to your org unit, this can be problematic for multi-branch systems that might want to access results for all their branches. Setting the receiver at the system level does not retrieve the invoices received by child branches. Using the filter option to set the receiver at the system level does not work either.

This interface has been rewritten with extensive permissions-sensitivities added at the behest of community testers. Marking this won't fix; if it appears again in the redone Search interface, that's a new bug.
