Hmm. I think you're confusing the deprecated JSON API at https:/ /openlibrary. org/dev/ docs/json_ api with the OpenLibrary Read API (https:/ /openlibrary. org/dev/ docs/api/ read), which is marked as "new" at https:/ /openlibrary. org/developers/ api.
