    Avoid org tree retrieval race condition on patron app

    Avoid calling egOrg.ancestors() during startup, because the org unit
    tree is not guarantee to be available until startup has completed.  This
    was causing an occasional JS excpetion in the patron app pages, which
    prevented the pages from loading.

*** The status bar at the bottom of the screen floats above (and obscures) a variety of UI elements.  Instead of simply removing it, or fighting with it to live on the same z-index as the page, there is now a button to make it go away at the bottom-right.  I'd like it to go away, personally, or perhaps have an admin menu to hide/show it, but it's outside the $scope for that to happen easily, AFAICT, and I wanted to avoid abusing the DOM.

Generated via git-log against that branch with caf6c6a1162f248376c14bb0e32461bbe02224a5..a378541ce3d9762cbbfb88923b15f24d8d7e85ae as the range.  That range is what the pullrequest is referring to, for committers.

There are other commits atop these, which represent new Sprint 2 features.  I need these fixes, so, they're on that branch.  Even though the non-cat stuff seems to be in-process, I would like to see it get into master now.  Some support is better than no support, and there is time.
