Bug Description

Issue appears in all versions of Evergreen from 2.4 to current as of 27 May 2014

Background:
In all major browsers, a user can Ctrl+Left Click to open a link in a new tab.

Description of issue:
In either Basic or Advanced Search:
Enter keywords in the searchbox.
Ctrl+Left Click on the Search button.
A new tab will open and the search results will display in the new tab.
In the original tab, the search button is replaced by the spinner and never resets. In other words, even after the search has completed and the results are displayed in the new tab, the search button in the original tab is still missing and the spinner is displayed.

Notes:
Reloading the original tab restores the Search button.
The Search button is displayed as normal in the newly opened tab.

I'm confirming because I just tested and see this behavior, but marking it as Low because I wouldn't have thought about this workflow of opening a new tab at that point. Others may feel differently though.
