Bug Description

The server installation instructions (http://docs.evergreen-ils.org/2.4/_testing_connections_to_evergreen.html), in the last bullet on the page, point to a now non-existent page for the mailing lists. Also on the "Getting Help" page, following the instructions (http://docs.evergreen-ils.org/2.4/_getting_help.html).

The current page that the documentation should be pointing to is: http://evergreen-ils.org/communicate/mailing-lists/

This also looks like an issue at the bottom of the OpenSRF installation instructions (http://evergreen-ils.org/documentation/install/OpenSRF/README_2_2_0.html). Is that considered a separate bug?

Elliot,

Fix Released means that the fix has made it into an Evergreen release, not that you've added patches or branches to the bug.

If you want some to review your patch, please add a pullrequest tag to the bug.

Thanks,
Jason Stephenson

For your question about the OpenSRF installation instructions, I would consider that a separate bug. OpenSRF has its own Launchpad the bug should be opened there:

Ah. I see. The patch was already applied.

In that case, we do "Fix Committed" and not "Fix Released" until the release comes out.

Thanks, Elliot!

After a very brief discussion in IRC, I'm switching it back to Fix Released. Since any doc commits update the official repository overnight, it makes more sense to immediately go to Fix Released with doc commits. It also will prevent doc bugs from adding to the large amount of bug churn that happens at release time.

I think it would be a good idea for DIG to write up some Launchpad procedure specific to documentation if we're planning to make more use of Launchpad.

Thanks Elliott!

And, kmlussier says we're setting documentation bugs to fix released because the documentation is updated by magic little elves every night. That's news to me, but I'm new here. ;)
