Bug Description

Evergreen 2.4.1

The Workstation Admin Set Search Preferences interface is a nice addition!
When setting an Advanced Search Default Pane search preference, however, Evergreen does not retain this preference if the user selects Advanced Search from within the retrieved search results. The user must select Search Catalog from the toolbar, from the Menu options, or from the default (portal) page in order to retrieve the saved, preferred Advanced Search tab. It would be nice for Evergreen to default back to the preferred Advanced Search Default Pane from an instance of selecting Advanced Search within a set of search results, as well.
Thank you!

Hmm, is this in the staff client?

Hi Ben,

Yes. It's in the staff client. I'm still seeing this behavior in version 2.6.1. The preferred Advanced Search Default Pane is not recognized when the user clicks Advanced Search from within the search results page.

We find that all of the search preferences that we set in Workstation Administration -> Default Search Library/Preferred Library/Advanced Search Default Panel are not 100% sticky. They revert to the default setting for no apparent reason.

Marking this Won't Fix as the interfaces have changed with the Angular Staff Catalog.
