Monographic Part names cannot be edited

Bug Description

Evergreen version 2.2.2

Currently if you want to change the name of a monographic part from the staff client, you have to delete the part, add a part with the new name and reattach it to the appropriate items. This is problematic if you find a typographical error or want to expand the name of a part to include a title as well as a number. (Particularly in a consortial setting if other users have used the part. You may not have permissions to reattach the part to their items)

It would be great if you could edit the names of previously created parts. I would picture an additional button in the Monographic Parts Manager called Edit parts. You would put a check mark next to any of the part names that you want to change, and click an "Edit Selected" button. Then the Part names would change to a text box, you could edit them, then click save to save the new names.

Hi Sarah,

You should be able to rename parts. If you're on the title record, click the Actions for this Record menu and then select "Manage Parts." If you double click on the part's name, you can rename it. The only instance I can think of where I wasn't able to rename a part was if I tried to rename it to something that was already being used on that record (basically an attempt to merge two parts together).

Oh, and a note to say that I just tested this in master. I haven't tested it on 2.2, but I this functionality should have been available back in 2.1 when parts were first introduced.

Thanks! Yes, it worked for me in 2.2. So this bug can be closed.
