Bug Description
On Debian Wheezy, the following additional packages are needed for the Python tests to pass:
python-nose
python-simplejson
python-pyxmpp
python-memcache
python-coverage
My current assumption, to be tested, is that this holds true for Debian Squeeze and Ubuntu.
OpenSRF master

Finished checking on Squeeze and Ubuntu Precise, so I'm doing a pullrequest for the patch at the tip of the user/gmcharlt/ lp1155446_ python_ test_suite_ deps branch in the working/OpenSRF repository:
http:// git.evergreen- ils.org/ ?p=working/ OpenSRF. git;a=shortlog; h=refs/ heads/user/ gmcharlt/ lp1155446_ python_ test_suite_ deps
Testing on Lucid would be greatly appreciated. Note that the test plan is
[1] Start the documented installation process.
[2] When you run configure, add the --enable-python option
[3] Run 'make check' after running 'make'; verify that the test suite passes.
