<snip>
"Early Experimentation Code Available
We're making code available that will permit programmers and developers to better understand how MARC Bibliographic records can transform to BIBFRAME resources. The code is available at: https://github.com/lcnetdev/marc2bibframe "
</snip>

Not sure what licence the code is being made available under, but perhaps worth starting to flag / group potential future bibframe type developments.

Can I ask what use is bibframe to us? This is the first that I've heard of it.

Having looked at the github repo, I'd say we can't use their code. It lacks a license, with by default in the U.S. means All Rights Reserved. We cannot safely assume we can use it without being sued.

The new hotness for talk about transitioning away from MARC 21. Don't see anything practical happening soon, but worth watching to see if anything experimental leads somewhere. Needs to be put EG radar at least.
