Receiving unitless issues in the batch receive interface does not update tpac holdings summary

Bug Description

Evergreen version: 2.2 RC1

When receiving a unitless issue via the serials batch receive interface, the holdings summary in tpac does not update with information from the new issuance.

The serial for which I was testing this has a caption/pattern code of:

Using the "Serials Batch Receive" option from the "Actions for this Record" menu, I received a copy with the following holdings code:

While receiving the issue, I left the "Create Units for Received Items" checkbox deselected.

The issue is received, but, when I return to the OPAC view for the record, the holdings summary still displays as "Volumes v.2:no.2(2012:Feb.) - v.2:no.5(2012:May )."

When I select the "Create Unites for Received Items" checkbox or when I use the Serials Control View to receive the issue, the holdings summary updates correctly.

Hi Kathy,

This has recently been brought to my attention by two other sites. I'm assuming you're still encountering it. I'll reproduce the bug on my end soon, and will offer either a fix or more information if it's going to be particularly complicated.

I can confirm that I still see this behavior in 2.11.2. The holdings summary is not updated, as expected, when an issue is received without units.

Since we do not circulate serials, we have never barcoded individual loose issues. We may be new users to Evergreen, but this bug is a serious problem for us. We truly need the ability to check in issues as received without creating units, and we need to have the holdings summary update when the issues are received.

Noting that this appears to be fixed in the new web client version of serials, but I encourage further testing.
