hidden ajax custom field does not show up when controllor choosed

Hi, as per subject i'm getting troubles trying to replicate usual configuration for my custom fields, using ajax instead.
They does not show up if hidden via "hideWhenNoOptions": everything work ok if i return false from this method, thus leaving empty fields on form

I'm not currently have the time for making a proof of that but imho is pretty easy already to reproduce with custom_field examples/ (in 2.3 there is an ajax flavor).
