Sundaravenkataraman (ssvr-nyl), could you test if latest extremetuxracer 0.5 beta from Debian experimental (http://packages.debian.org/experimental/extremetuxracer ) still crashes?

I also had problems with etracer version 0.4-4 (exists in Ubuntu 12.04-13.04) - game simply crashed after changing the resolution in Extremetuxracer Configuration settings - I got these errors in terminal:
[..]
Set new videomode:1024x768 bpp:0
X Error of failed request: BadValue (integer parameter out of range for operation)
Major opcode of failed request: 150 (XFree86-VidModeExtension)
Minor opcode of failed request: 10 (XF86VidModeSwitchToMode)
  Value in failed request: 0x94
Serial number of failed request: 188
Current serial number in output stream: 190

This problem is fixed in latest Extremetuxracer 0.5 beta release, I simply downloaded and installed extremetuxracer and extremetuxracer-data deb files from Debian experimental:
http://packages.debian.org/experimental/extremetuxracer

Also lots of Extremetuxracer bugs are fixed this year (2013) - download latest code from http://sourceforge.net/p/extremetuxracer/code/
