Bug Description

None of the four screensavers that come with the Ubuntu SE edition work. I Installed via Terminal as per instructions. The screensavers (Eternity, Eternal Damnation, Ubuntu & Studio) show up in Screensaver Preferences but show only a black screen in both preview and full-screen. I also get a black screen when the timer for the screensaver activates the screensaver.

I'm running a clean install of Ubuntu SE w/updates as of 27 Sep 09 in VBox 3.0.6 on Ubuntu 8.04.3 w/updates as of 27 Sep 09.

The other screensavers that come with Ubuntu work well.

The SE screensavers require accelerated graphics, which usually means using the proprietary drivers for your video card. i.e. selecting the appropriate driver from the System->Administration->Hardware Drivers dialogue.

However, as you are using VBox, I very much doubt that accelerated graphics will work.

If you really want the screensavers, then I suggest doing a native install and running with the proprietary drivers.
