Bug Description

I use the apport utility and send crash reports whenever there's a crash. When I access the "Error tracker" page under https://errors.ubuntu.com/user/$(sudo cat /var/lib/whoopsie/whoopsie-id), I can see the crash reports that I have submitted. But when I click and try to any of them, the page says I don't have permission to view the reports. Then it directs me to a form to apply for granting access to report content. I filled in the form and submitted but I didn't hear from anybody about the result (either positive or negative).

Is it possible to access the contents of the crash reports that I have sent?

The error tracker isn't part of Launchpad. I'm reassigning this over in their direction.

We currently don't have fine grained access controls for crashes at the Ubuntu Error Tracker and since it is possible for retraced crash reports to contain sensitive information we only grant access to software developers. I'm sorry if this wasn't clear when you filled out the form.

You can access the contents of the crash reports as they exist locally on your system in /var/crash/. You'll want to look for files with the extension .crash.
