Remote support screen does not work if UI run from KDE, $TERM not defined

Bug Description
I tested the remote help, and works fine in vnc (graphical), while in textual mode (screen) does work only if you run epoptes UI from terminal, not from the K menu.
I've asked in IRC and Alkis G. thinks that is because the $TERM is not set in this latter case.
