Update in OpenOffice #EpicFail

This extension update (Barcode Version 1.3.1) is WONDERFUL, but... I showed a coworker how to use this (Barcode 1.2) to get through a problem. I didn't really need the extension, but installed it just to test my theory before telling him to try it. Since then, I have been prompted to get updates, but the process of updating always fails. I have just been putting up with it. One time I tried to remove the extension, but that also failed. So WTF here people? Is it just me?

The add tags doesn't work in IE8 in the WinXP OS

Just tried to install the Barcode extension. It fails to install using the LibOffice Ext manager. I am running Windows 8 so the last observation appears to be accurate (that there's an issue associated with the operating system?). I provide the specific error from screen capture. Hope this helps.
