I have 2 nVidia cards, 6600GT and 8600GT, envy in Hardy had work just flawlessly so I know this is new bug.
Im having the same problem only when two video cards are connected, here are my video cards:
01:00.0 VGA compatible controller: nVidia Corporation GeForce 8600 GT (rev a1)
02:00.0 VGA compatible controller: nVidia Corporation GeForce 8600 GT (rev a1)
It worked before with hardy. Also when installing the 177 driver with the 2 video cards plugged in, gdm wont start, but if i disconnect the secondary card it works. I had it working with sli but now it doesn't works.
It seems to be a serious problem. Im going to test with the 173 driver to see if it works, by installing it with the ubuntu restricted drivers installer since envyng is not working with 2 video cards connected...
