Bug Description

I used the prop driver at the 8.04 for ASRock K10N78FullHD-hSLI with geforce 8200. Then the picture completely broke down and I was forced to make a fresh install. The ubuntu original driver seemed to work OK, though before the breakdown but I wanted to enjoy the eye candy.
Next time I activated the the envy software and installed the driver through envy. This time the driver picture was relatively stable but every five seconds or so the picture flickered and I lost a lot of sentences in for example firefox. This time I uninstalled the driver from envy and restarted . This time the computer just got a rudimentary driver which just allowed me to choose between 600x800 and 480x600. It was impossible to choose any other driver after that. So it ended with a new fresh install and now I just use the original driver shipped with Ubuntu

As the times has gone and the 8.04 is about to be replaced by the 10.04 I think this bug can be closed.
