Error dialog too wide

Binary package hint: empathy

I added a new account to empathy. I was asked to set a password for the default keyring.

Then I received an error dialog (See screenshot)

The problem is NOT the error, but the dialog itself. It is far to big. It spans almost my two screens. The dialog has a width of approx. 1500px.

Also it is not possible to select and copy the error message

Expected solution: Add word-wrapping to the error message and the ability to select the message

Thank you for your bug report. The issue is an upstream one and it would be nice if somebody having it could send the bug the to the people writting the software (https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Bugs/Upstream/GNOME)

Nope, I can't reproduce it on my current setup (9.10).

I guess it is a first-time-only bug. I tried removing my accounts from emptathy and adding them again but there was no error.

This bug is fixed in empathy 2.29.5 I got the same error but it was not too wide(normal sized) but I did not save the image of the screen as I though I marked it invalid.

to reproduce start ubuntu from a live session/for the first time after install I guess open empathy and try to make a new account after giving all information a keyring window comes up wait for 15-20 secs and the error comes that's too wide

This has effected me and it is reproducible in the current machine setup I have ie. there is no accessible HDD memory. So the keyring information is not kept and I can reproduce the error upon reopening Empathy after start up under LIVECD. Reported as bug in translations Empathy error (setup) ?line breaks? LIVECD version
