I can see Gadu-Gadu as an option in the latest Empathy 2.23.90 (but don't have an account to test). Has this issue now been solved? |

Does not work for me: I can now add a Gadu-Gadu account, but then I attempted to add a known contact which was online: she appeared as offline, and did not receive my messages. The contact did not even stay saved. When I added myself as a contact, I could see myself online and open a chat window with myself, but I did not receive the echo of my own messages (this works in Pidgin which shows that the protocol allows that).
Empathy does not support registering new Gadu-Gadu accounts, nor sending/receiving contact list to the server, nor getting information about a user, nor searching for users.
(Unfortunately I don't have a Linux program which is able to register Gadu-Gadu accounts for you to test that; pidgin and ekg seem to be broken in this respect. The original Windows client from http://www.gadu-gadu.pl/pobierz could be used; it has a Polish interface, and does not work well enough under Wine - the captcha does not show.) |

Marking as fixed. Upstream says Gadu-Gadu is supported in empathy 2.24, and I can confirm.
From upstream: "If you have problems or miss features then you should open a new bug on Empathy and/or Haze for each one." |
