Bug Description

On my Eeepc Asus 1101HA, with the option "acpi_backlight=vendor" in Grub, the file "/sys/class/backlight/eeepc-wmi/actual_brightness" always show the value "2", even by changing the brightness with the keys "Fn + F5/F6" (which actually really change the brightness).

Not very important in fact, but I need to know the real value of brightness to put it in a Conky ...

cat /sys/class/backlight/eeepc-wmi/actual_brightness
2

cat /sys/class/backlight/eeepc-wmi/brightness
2

cat /sys/class/backlight/eeepc-wmi/max_brightness
15

This also affects me, but the values on /sys/class/backlight/eeepc/ are right. Maybe the problems I have with brightness after a suspend are due to this discrepancy.

15

8

Yes, it's good for me too.
I can manage the actual brightness in a Conky, just what I want in fact !
Thanks ;-)
