Bug Description
The instruction found on this page http://
states:
<<Insert a blank CD-R or CD-RW into your CD drive.
A box will appear asking what to do; click "Ignore".
Right click (or control click) on elementary_OS.iso and select "Burn elementary_OS.iso to Disc..."
Click "Burn". This make take a few minutes.>>
However this is wrong - if you do it this way, you burn the iso FILE onto the disc, instead of creating a bootable disc form the iso image. The correct way of doing this would be:
- Insert a blank disc.
- Start Disk Utility.
- From the File menu, choose Open Disk Image and select the ISO to be burned.
- In the list of volumes, you will now see an item representing the ISO file. Select it.
- Click the Burn button and follow the instructions.
