Bug Description

every time i try to connect to Auto eth0 it attempts to connect for a while but never actually does. this did not happen in original maverick, natty or oneiric. so i guess its happening in eos because of a network package that was removed. i can refer to this bug (https://bugs.launchpad.net/elementaryos/+bug/747822) I installed two of the packages but still no result. My ethernet card is not functioning and i am not being able to establish a broadband connection. So what packages do i need to install to solve this?

PS: the ethernet worked for a fraction of time before installing. during installation it stopped working and i had to connect to wifi to complete installation.

this is a driver issue.
